KINEXON wins Grand Prize
And the winner is… Yesterday evening we got awarded two times at the price giving of the European Satellite Navigation Competition (ESNC) in the ‘Alte Kongresshalle’, Munich.
First we won the regional price Bavaria 2013 and later the big surprise: With our solution we could prevail against our competitors and convince the jury. So we also won the Galileo Master Award as overall winner. We got awarded for our Kinexon ONE. This is an innovative solution for highly accurate 3D localization and motion sensing of people and objects. A cloud based smart analytics application transforms the data into valuable insights for users in various industries. In sports, for example, the solution helps trainers, medical staff and athletes in their daily work. This helps using their full potential in a healthy way.
The price giving took place in the old congress hall in Munich with an audience of over 700 invited guests. The ESNC awards once a year innovative products and services for use by space technology. Sponsors are among others the European GNSS agency GSA, the European Space Agency (ESA), the European Commission, the free state of Bavaria and the German Center for Aerospace (DLR). This year’s ESNC got 413 applications from teams with over 1200 participants from 50 countries. All applications were reviewed by an international expert jury. A wide variety of criteria like the potential benefit, the grade of innovation, chances on the market and competitive advantages towards conventional solutions were considered.
This evening was a very special moment for us. To celebrate this evening, the whole Kinexon team gathered. Every single one of us achieved big things in the last months. We came up with a lot of ideas, raised knowledge and invested a lot of time in a very passionate way to get where we are now. Of course we celebrated this achievement till the early morning hours!
Yesterday’s evening marks a new chapter in our company’s young history. It was the first big public award and also the first public appearance. In the last months we intentionally focused on the development and cooperation with selected partners. We somehow flew under the radar. The price giving was a welcomed and fitting occasion to finally step into the public light and open up to a wider audience to share our products and ideas. We will use the next weeks to give you current info to our undertaking.
